Broughton’s post box – the big unveiling
I was honoured to be invited to the big unveiling of the new post box in Broughton outside the Post Office last week!
I’m very pleased that the new post box has been installed in the location local people knew was right for the town.
Postal services remain vital in our rural areas, and I’m pleased to have been able to support the residents’ campaign by writing to Royal Mail’s senior team and the Postal Review Panel.
I’m glad that the local Royal Mail team listened to residents’ concerns and worked with the community to reach this outcome and I was delighted to join in with the inauguration of the post box.
I also enjoyed a great pint and chat with Scott at the Manor Arms when I was in the town.
With a cosy atmosphere and a big selection of ales on, I’m not surprised it’s been named one of the best pubs in the UK by the Telegraph!
