Many people locally suffer because of anti-social behaviour. It has been left to get worse for too long and I am pleased that there is now a proper national plan – supported by our local Police and Crime Commissioner – to clamp down and get a grip.
The changes will mean:
- More neighbourhood policing.
- National performance unit to end the postcode lottery on law and order.
- Hooligans who wreak havoc on local communities will face tough restrictions under new powers.
- New powers to seize off-road bikes and vehicles used in anti-social behaviour.
- Half a billion pounds of EXTRA funding for policing next year.
