Michelle received a flavour of the superb community work carried out on Walney Island this morning.

She was welcomed to Walney Community Trust’s Amphitrite Street Headquarters by the organisation’s general manager Cheryl Shields and Chairman Jeff Chadd.

The trust holds a club four nights a week which is attended by scores of young people as well as providing free hot meals for members of the community.

Michelle was given a tour of the Trust’s building and heard about the activities and community help provided by its 12 staff.
