Thank you to Rolls-Royce for welcoming me to their Raynesway site today for an update on their work making the engines that will go into the submarines built here in Barrow and Furness.
Rolls-Royce are a long-term partner in the delivery of our national submarine programme and recently secured a £9bn contract with Government to continue that work. That is an investment not only in our national security but also local economic growth with staff employed, and local supply chain opportunities, in our area.
