The first projects have been announced that will benefit from the Government’s policy of reinvesting water company fines back in to local clean-up projects.
This will directly benefit communities and the environment which have been harmed by rule breaking.
Great to see that some of the first wave of fines money will be going to great local projects like the Lakes Biosecurity Priority Area Project and the Windermere STEP (Septic Tank Engagement Programme).
