Yesterday, plans for the new Sacred Heart School in Barrow were approved by the local planning committee.
With Government funding already secured through the School Rebuilding Programme, the planning approval is a major milestone in giving those children the modern, safe, school they deserve. A place where they can learn and thrive. The aim is for the new building to open in September 2027.
Last week, I was pleased to welcome headteacher Simone Beach to the House of Commons to thank her for her hard work and to keep pressing the case for the continued support the school needs.
