It was fab meeting Euan at Furness General Hospital on his Supported Internship with DFN Project Search Furness General Hospital. He told me how it’s given him more confidence and how he loves every part of the job. We also spoke about his trip down to Parliament to represent DFN Project SEARCH in Cumbria.
Funded through the Government’s Access to Work scheme, Euan has an internship for a year. Now in its fourth year, organisers Deborah and Natasha told me about how the scheme has benefited both employer and intern, and how inclusive employers make a huge difference for young adults with special educational needs accessing employment.
