Furness House Post Office in Barrow is one of 118 directly-managed branches that are at risk as part of cost-cutting plans by Post Office Ltd.
Michelle has strongly opposed the plans which threaten to bring down the shutters on this important town centre service.
She is now encouraging everyone who wants to keep the branch open to show their support.
Michelle said: “The Post Office is still making decisions about the future of the branch in Furness House and we need to send out the strongest possible message that the local community values the branch and wants to see it stay open.
“People depend on these branches for services and they are an important part of the high street offer. There was a palpable sense of anger when news emerged that it was at risk.”
