Back in November I wrote to the Chief Executive of Marks and Spencer asking him to look at Barrow and Furness as part of their expansion plans for the company. I am pleased that they have agreed to meet with Team Barrow to find out more about our exciting plans for the town centre and the part they could play in that.
It was a huge blow to the town’s high street when M&S left back in 2020, but the town is on the up and there are ambitious plans for our high street. We are now on the radar of investors from the retail sector and beyond who recognise the potential and upward trajectory of our area.
