After 12 months of residents campaigning, Royal Mail have installed a post box outside the new Post Office in Broughton!
Many residents had been in touch with me about concerns over the previously proposed location for the post box which wasn’t as accessible and wasn’t near the Post Office. Alongside other locals, I wrote several times to Royal Mail’s senior team to urge them to reconsider the placement and put the post box outside the Tourist Information Centre/Post Office instead – a location put forward by residents as safer, more accessible, and better suited for the whole community.
It’s great to see that they have listened to those who know their community, and installed the post box outside the Post Office. Well done to everyone who helped to make this happen!
