After the X-ray machine at Waterloo House broke, concerns were raised to me about what would happen if the machine wasn’t replaced. I met with Cllr Simone Faulkner and Felicity Wilson from the Patient Participation Group (PPG) to discuss the issues around relacing it.
I raised it with University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust (UHMBT) and spoke with the Trust’s CEO Steve Williamson to push for a swift replacement.
I am really pleased that UHMBT have now confirmed a replacement X-ray machine for Millom. Exact timeframes are to be confirmed but I am told that the new machine will be in place by late 2026/early 2027.
